Our Second Annual Cinco De Mayo Open House is quickly becoming a riding season staple. This year, Heroic Racing Apparel and Bell Helmets returned and were joined by newcomers Cycle Gear, Dainese NYC and Empire State Motorcycle Safety. Champions Riding School instructor, professional MotoAmerica and N2 sponsored rider Eziah Davis stopped by to lend track riding instruction. The food highlight this year was all-you-can-eat, Japanese-infused tacos by Takumi Taco. Traditional Cinco De Mayo flair was added with chips, fresh guacamole and salsa, jalapeño poppers and taquitos, along with non-alcoholic margaritas and sangria. Regal Entertainment’s DJ Slim brought his signature style to the event as well, keeping everyone moving.
As always, all makes and models are welcome, and the variety this year did not disappoint. From Yamaha R1s to CBR 1000s, and even a GROM (it’s so tiny!) stopped by to enjoy the fun. Of course, we had a full complement of BMWs on hand, and a few even went home with some happy new members to the BMWNYC Motorrad family.
We’re already looking forward to, and planning 2019’s event. We hope to see you there!!
